This he has stated in a message to mark the weeklong anti-corruption campaign of the provincial government. The governor has further stated that corruption cannot be simply limited to acquisition of illegal wealth but has a much wider meaning. Any act which deprives an individual, group of the larger segment of a society from a legal and fundamental right is corruption. While we fight against the financial corruption and misuse of power, we should also fight similarly for social justice, fundamental rights and the privileges of the deprived. We should also take care of the special groups, the minority in any society which includes the women, children, disabled and those whose religious preferences are different from the majority or state religion.
"I am confident that this weeklong advocacy against corruption and malpractices will prove a milestone in this long, and extremely important, endeavour struggle to achieve the ultimate goal of a corruption free society". He also wished every success to the activities in the ongoing International Anti-Corruption Week.
